The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the main attractions. The staff was friendly and made check-in smooth. My room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast featured a great selection, and I especially enjoyed the freshly brewed coffee and pastries. The outdoor terrace provided fine views of the river.
The bathroom was a bit small.

The hotel was on the other side of the river from the city, close enough, just 5 mins walk, but nice and quiet in the evening. In a really old building, very quaint, breakfast terrace was lovely (smell from jasmine bushes was magnificent). A few close restaurants/bars if you have walked yourself out in the day and don't want to go too far in the evening. Private parking in hotel garage available. This is an absolute necessity if you have a car.
Not so much the hotel, but getting to is by car was a nightmare. This is a problem of the city, not the hotel. Many of the streets were closed to cars during the day, meaning you have to pick your way thru the city, using streets without restrictions. I went round and round. Couldn't really work out why some of the streets restricted, cos many cars just using these streets. Eventually, I found my way and my car was thankfully taken off to private hotel garage. Hotel parking absolute must!! If you are driving. Beware that driving is very hard in Florence, to get into the city and to get out. Hotel parking facilities were great!

The terrace overlooking the river is amazing, and the walk to the Duomo was a scenic gem. Loved having tea, coffee, and pastries daily on the veranda!

Very friendly and accomodating staff. NIce terrace over-looking the river Arno. Nice position, being just across the river from the main attractions while being a little more quiet for rest and sleeping.
In-room facilities could have been improved. Just small things like tea and coffee making facilities, perhaps an english TV channel such as Sky News and a trouser-press, would have greatly improved the experience.

Perfectly localized in the city. Charming old building, outside and inside. Friendly, helpful and well English speaking staff. Decent breakfast with enough time to eat even when you're coming towards the end of breakfast time. Relatively cheap public parking possibilities within 5-10 minutes walking distance.
Nothing really to complain about, except maybe renovation work in the room above. Although it was low season and at some time they have to do it, they could have started a bit later in the morming, say at 10h.

A very nice, clean hotel in an excellent location, just five minutes walk from the City but in a peaceful and less crowded neighbourhood. A very good breakfast buffet and a pleasant roof-top terrace with bar.
